Climate Action Film: Crafting Hope and Impact
Plume Films collaborated with Fully Fledged Films and Climate Lead, a leading philanthropic intelligence platform, to create a powerful end piece for their annual conference in New York.
The goal was to craft a strategic call to action, blending artisanal storytelling with high level purpose to galvanise influential philanthropists toward urgent global climate causes.
Our Artisanal Approach: Collage for Clarity
The film required a unique visual language to effectively communicate the complexity of global climate efforts and the urgency of action.
We chose a collage approach as the creative vessel. This technique allowed us to:
Integrate Diverse Media: Seamlessly blend polished live, action footage, shot beautifully in Australia, with graphic elements, archival imagery, and handcrafted animation.
Establish an Informal Air: The style avoids a 'stuffy' documentary feel, making the complex subject matter feel immediate and accessible.
Respect Brand Identity: Evolve Climate Lead's beautiful, yet nascent, brand guidelines for motion, translating their typography and colour palette into a dynamic, purposeful aesthetic.
The film is narrated by Angus Hervey, founder of Fix The News, whose voice champions progress and positive change, lending authority and optimism to the message.
Project Impact
This film serves as a powerful conclusion, uniting the audience of philanthropists behind a clear, actionable mission. It stands as a testament to how creative collaboration, blending strategy and craft, can amplify the voices driving critical climate solutions.
